Managed maintenance program

Managed Maintenance & Repair

Keeping your operations running smoothly — comprehensive coverage for road-ready chassis with coordinated service in the Houston metro and port area.

Why Choose Our Program?
Coverage, speed, and local support — structured like leading intermodal maintenance programs

Coordinated, efficient repair workflow so you can get back to moving freight

Work and documentation oriented to FMCSA, DOT, and Port of Houston expectations

Experienced Mechanic

Skilled technician focused on container chassis and port operations

Preventive Care

Proactive maintenance to catch wear before it becomes a roadside failure

Included in the Maintenance Program
For renters, covered work is ordinary wear and tear from normal commercial use, coordinated by Tryton Norber. Final terms are defined in your Container Chassis Rental Agreement.

Inspections & compliance

  • Inspections and maintenance practices aligned with FMCSA, DOT, and Port of Houston expectations
  • Proactive preventive maintenance to keep chassis road-ready
  • Service documentation to support your compliance program

Tires

  • Tire maintenance and replacement for normal, even wear under the rental maintenance structure

Brakes & suspension

  • Air system repairs and maintenance
  • Radius rod, wheel-end, and related suspension work needed for a safe, serviceable chassis under normal use
  • Spring hangers and related components as part of covered maintenance

Electrical & lights

  • Repairs for inoperative components
  • Replacement of burned-out lamps
  • Correction of loose connections

Frame, landing gear & securement

  • Bolsters, main rails, and cross members — maintenance and adjustment for normal service (not impact damage)
  • ICC bumper, landing gear, and bracing — service for normal wear and adjustment
  • Container securement devices
Not Covered (Carrier Responsibility)
Typical exclusions — consistent with standard intermodal programs and our rental agreement. You are responsible for costs arising from the following:
  • Tire damage from road hazards, sidewall cuts, running flat, or negligence (and damage to adjacent tires from those events)
  • Theft of parts or damage caused by theft or vandalism
  • Damage from abuse, negligence, recklessness, or intentional acts
  • Damage from impacts, collisions, or accidents — including bent frame, landing gear, or crossmembers from impact or misuse
  • Electrical damage from improper connections or unauthorized modifications
  • Worn items caused by an underlying event that is not covered (e.g. misalignment after impact)
  • Repairs performed without our prior written approval
  • Excessive or abnormal wear patterns; repeated damage events may be billed to the carrier at our discretion
